The next business event in the Bulgarian pavilion will held on 16th of December and will be a part of the thematic business week „Knowledge & Learning“ in Expo 2020 Dubai (12 – 18 Dec 2021).

The topic of the conference is „The Digital Transformation of Skills and Education Challenges“.

The event will start at 4 p.m.

„Development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem“ and „European Education and Social Media“ are the lectures of the representative of the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) in Sofia. The lecturers are Prof. Trencheva, Prof. Bogova and Prof. Denchev.

Tereza Trencheva graduated from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, majoring in Library and Information Sciences (2002); SWU “N. Rilski”, MSc degree in English Philology (2008); ULSIT, PhD of Theory of Scientific Information (2011); SWU “N. Rilski”, MSc degree in Law (2020).

Prof. Tereza Trencheva, PhD is a Vice-Rector of Research and International Affairs in ULSIT.

She is a member of the Rector’s Council and a member of the UNESCO Interfaculty Chair “ICT in Library Studies, Education and Cultural Heritage”, Co-founder and Deputy Chairman of the Association “Network of IP Teachers In Bulgaria”, Member of the Academic Council of the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Prof. D.Sc. Stoyan Denchev is President of the General Assembly of the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (2018–until present day) and Direcotor of Institute of Informing Science, Knowledge Management and Security. He has a BSc Degree in Mathematics, a MSc Degree in Computer Science, a Ph.D. Degree in Informatics, the Higher Attestation Commission to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria.

From the beginning of 2021 Denchev is a President of the Board for Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates.

Prof. Hristina Bogova, PhD, is Dean of the Faculty of Library Science and Cultural Heritage at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies. She was awarded PhD degree in Political Sciences at the Diplomatic Academy with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. She graduated in Journalism (MA), and Geography and Geology (MA) from VTU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”.

The focus of her activity is the use of communication techniques in the education process; organization and management of public processes; the use of electronic media in inter-institutional communication; EU institutions; and European integration.

Automate the future – Bulgarian potential in the field of robotics and automation“ is the subject of the online presentation by Kristyan Mihaylov. He will discuss the potential in the field of robotics and automation.

Mr. Mihaylov is the co-founder and part of the Managing Board of PARA (Professional Association of Robotics and Automation).

He has more than six years of experience in developing start-up companies, working in system integrators and outsourcing companies in automation, information security, and the Internet of Things. Kristiyan is a co-author of the report on the Bulgarian successes in robotics and automation. Some of the initiatives he’s responsible are Innovations meet schools and the first virtual educational robotics incubator.

The last presentation has interesting title: “The future awaits: better humans, better professionals, better world“. In this way the lecturer Yavor Kiryakov describe „the shortest way to reinventing the future is by abolishing all inhibitions“. The lecture will be held online.

Не is a teacher in Sofia, Bulgaria and runs an education NGO – University for Kids. Kiryakov holds degrees in Economics, Political Science and Pedagogy. Currently he is working on his PhD in Didactics on the topic of Inquiry based learning applied in informal education.

Yavor Kiryakov believes that informal education provides the the shortest path to coming across innovations in the area of education and implementing them successfully on massive scale.

His greatest passion is fining ways to boost the role of experimental science and technology in formal and informal education.
